Only 50 minutes from Glasgow and four fairly twisty miles from Aberfoyle, Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel can be found nestled between the foothills of forested mountains and the shores of Loch Ard. Surrounded by 25 acres of private landscaped gardens with tumbling burns and winding pathways, it is truly one of Scotland's most exclusive country retreats.Relax on the terrace or unwind with a good book or one of our many board games in the lounges. If you would like to explore the area, join our local guided walk and in the evening you can enjoy whisky tasting, the Stuart Anderson Ceilidh or wine tasting, which take place on certain days of the week. Or if you are feeling particularly adventurous, why not try quad-biking, off-road driving, mountain-biking or archery? The choice is yours. The exciting refurbishment of our leisure club will begin on 24 February for a period of 20 weeks. During this time the Leisure Centre will be closed, however the children's activity programme and all Go Forth activities will still be available. Alternative Leisure Facilities such as swimming pool, sauna, gym etc are offered free of charge at the Buchanan Arms Hotel in Drymen.
